A Chinese man has posted photographs of him posing next to an 'alien' which he claims to have trapped after it crash landed.
The pictures of Mr Li standing next to the rather crude looking extraterrestrial have sparked a frenzy of speculation social networking sites across China.
Mr Li claims he saw a formation of UFOs buzzing across the night sky along the Yellow River in Binzhou Shangdong province.

Suddenly, one of the crafts plummeted to earth and soon afterwards Mr Li discovered the charred remains of the visitor from outta space in a rabbit trap, he claims.

Mr Li insists he took the bizarre looking creature back to be stored in a freezer at his home after the crash-landing in March.

However, the outlandish claims were quickly brought back to earth.

Fake: According to a statement from Binzhou police the alien is fake and made entirely out of rubber

Police issued a statement saying the rather unconvincing figure at the bottom of a chest freezer was, in fact, not another life form but high quality rubber. 

'The alien purported electrocuted and discovered by a man in Binzhou is a high quality imitation,' the Jinan Police posted on their Sina microblog. 'The body is made up of high quality rubber.'

Undeterred by the police attempts to pour scorn on the possibility the alien is real, Chinese bloggers are busy trying to connect the Shandong alien to a purported UFO siting in Hubei province.

A video of what was claimed to be a mutilated alien corpse is said to be fake. The tiny "dead alien" is just skin from chicken filled with bread, reports the website 7d.org.ua. Police questioned the men who claimed to have found the "body" and they allegedly confessed to creating it themselves. The chief editor of the local Kabansk-Info newspaper initially thought that it was the body of an infant in the video and alerted the police. Officers immediately started the investigation and identified the alleged author. They went to his house and asked him about the infant's body. The scared man reportedly showed a fake alien corpse. It was even painted in "alien colors". Scolding is the only possible punishment for such a stunt as it cannot be considered a crime, the report says. The footage was taken near the village of Kamensk in the Russian republic Buryatia, just north of Lake Baikal. It showed what appeared to be a humanoid body less than a meter high with a skeletal big-eyed head and thin naked body. One of its legs was missing. Emotional off-screen comments said the body was found a couple of hours before and was clearly very dead. Local media reported there were numerous reports of UFO sightings in the area in March, some of them later attributed to bombing training at a nearby military range..

Meteor lights up night sky above Utah - Nov 2009

A large ball of fire streaking across the night time skies just after midnight had many Utahn's wondering what they saw early Wednesday morning.

Dozens of calls came with people wondering if they saw a shooting star, others wondered if it was the end of the world, military testing, or even a UFO.

To many, it looked like a large fall of fire, lightning up the sky, some say like daylight, others reported a blue like light that lasted for about 30 seconds.

And many reported hearing a boom about 5 minutes later.

Utah's NASA and Solar System Ambassador Patrick Wiggins said that it was a meteor also known as a bolide.

From his observatory near Stansbury Park he says the break up of the meteor occured at about 240 to 250 degrees azimuth which puts it just north of southwest.

He also heard the sound of an explosion that would put the breakup of the bolide about 100 km in that direction placing it high above Granite Peak in the west desert.

The main feature of this video comes during the second half, which shows a "normalized" version of the 16MM film of the alien craft shot by L. Marietta Snyder during her CSM flyovers.

The problem with that video is that it is difficult to make out what the craft actually looks like, close up.

So, the second half of this video shows the usable shots, rotated, tone adjusted, scaled, and bit-bended, which gives the appearance of a rather large ship, close up.

The video begins with the AS15-P-9625 zooming in. Then the AS15-P-9625 shot morphs into the AS20-1020 shot, also zooming in.

Then, when AS20-1020 starts to get fuzzy, it morphs into the shot of the ship taken with the Westinghouse color TV camera. For this effect, the main image is a composite of four different frames from the original video taken during Apollo 20 CSM flyover. This composite was tone adjusted and desaturated to bring out more detail.

Finally, the Westinghouse TV camera shot morphs into a composite of the ship taken by Leona using a 16MM movie camera.

The Apollo 20 crew patch displayed at the beginning was manually restored from a low-res screen capture of CDR Rutledge's previous postings.

Microbes on Mars

ALIEN microbes living just below the Martian soil are responsible for a haze of methane around the Red Planet, Nasa scientists believe.

The gas, belched in vast quantities in our world by cows, was detected by orbiting spacecraft and from Earth using giant telescopes.

Nasa are today expected to confirm its presence during a briefing at their Washington HQ.

And the find is seen as exciting new evidence that Martian microbes are still alive today.

Some scientists reckon methane is also produced by volcanic processes. But there are NO known active volcanoes on Mars.

Furthermore, Nasa has found the gas in the same regions as clouds of water vapour, the vital “drink” needed to support life.

Experts speculate that the methane is being emitted as a waste product by organisms called methanogens living in water beneath underground ice.

And they would have to be alive today because the methane would otherwise have been lost from the Martian atmosphere.......
