Mass UFO sightings across South America cause panic

A wave of mass UFO sightings across South America is currently occurring, leaving bewildered witnesses wondering if indeed beings from other worlds might be visiting Planet Earth. Stunned residents of towns and villages across Argentina, Peru and Chile as well as other nations have seen multiple objects ranging from mother ships to Cigar-shaped crafts over the last week alone. In at least one case a power outage accompanied such an event.
The event receiving the most publicity occurred in Salta, Argentina where at 2am on November 27 the city plunged into complete darkness as it suffered a total electrical failure. Phones stopped working and even taps ran dry. Allegedly intense heat engulfed the town and a huge mother ship type UFO was seen above the town studded with flashing lights.
It is claimed that the town electricity failed at the moment the UFO was seen to pass over the power plant. Hundreds of individuals witnessed this craft. UFO researchers and government authorities have descended on the area to investigate this incredible occurrence.
In Lima, Peru hundreds of witnesses also observed, in amazement, at least seven seemingly other-worldly craft moving across the skies above their city. However some witnesses and UFO researchers have suggested that these might have been air balloons.
In the town of Iquique in Chile a bizarre, glowing, multicoloured, cylindrical object was seen by residents last Friday. This object was also observed by dozens of locals who saw it vanish above cloud cover after moving over the city for at least half and hour.

Meteor lights up night sky above Utah - Nov 2009

A large ball of fire streaking across the night time skies just after midnight had many Utahn's wondering what they saw early Wednesday morning.

Dozens of calls came with people wondering if they saw a shooting star, others wondered if it was the end of the world, military testing, or even a UFO.

People from Mona to Spanish Fork from Ogden to Bountiful all calling in a very similar sighting More...

To many, it looked like a large fall of fire, lightning up the sky, some say like daylight, others reported a blue like light that lasted for about 30 seconds.

And many reported hearing a boom about 5 minutes later.

Utah's NASA and Solar System Ambassador Patrick Wiggins said that it was a meteor also known as a bolide.

From his observatory near Stansbury Park he says the break up of the meteor occured at about 240 to 250 degrees azimuth which puts it just north of southwest.

He also heard the sound of an explosion that would put the breakup of the bolide about 100 km in that direction placing it high above Granite Peak in the west desert.

Drunk Hammers Nail Into Head

Knocked-out ... Chinese man in hospital after hammering nail in to his own head
A HENPECKED husband took drastic action when his wife nailed him over his boozing.

Sozzled Lin Ma's disapproving spouse Su, 60, did his head in when he returned from a drinking binge — so he took an eight inch NAIL and knocked it in to his own skull.

The 66-year-old, of Yuyi, southern China, was rushed to hospital with the head wound.

Stunned medics at the Shantou Medical College were able to remove the nail which astonishingly had missed his brain by fractions of an inch.

Lin said the incident had knocked him out.

He added: "I thought life wasn't worth living so I tried to end it. I woke up with a very bad headache - worse even than the biggest hangover I've ever had."

Cat in Iowa had H1N1; may be 1st case in dogs or cats

The U.S. Department of Agriculture and Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine confirmed that a 13-year-old cat whose owners had experienced flu-like symptoms contracted H1N1 (swine) flu.

"This may be the first instance where we have documentation that transmission occurred involving cats or dogs," CDC spokesman Tom Skinner told the Associated Press.

The cat's symptoms included:

  • Lethargy
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Loss of appetite

Though influenza is known to cross species, we've seen that less with this strain, though it's been confirmed in birds and ferrets. In fact, many veterinarians have been telling clients that transmission from humans to cats and dogs or vice versa is beyond unlikely. This cat changes that.

To protect your pets, experts suggest taking the same precautions you would to prevent spreading the flu to other people, including getting the vaccine, wearing a mask, keeping some distance and washing your hands.

Another photographs of albatross chicks

These photographs of albatross chicks were made just a few weeks ago on Midway Atoll, a tiny stretch of sand and coral near the middle of the North Pacific. The nesting babies are fed bellies-full of plastic by their parents, who soar out over the vast polluted ocean collecting what looks to them like food to bring back to their young. On this diet of human trash, every year tens of thousands of albatross chicks die on Midway from starvation, toxicity, and choking.

To document this phenomenon as faithfully as possible, not a single piece of plastic in any of these photographs was moved, placed, manipulated, arranged, or altered in any way. These images depict the actual stomach contents of baby birds in one of the world's most remote marine sanctuaries, more than 2000 miles from the nearest continent.

"UFO" in Iran Missile Test Launch

————— THE SUN — October 6, 2009 —————

A UFO streaks through the sky in this astonishing video of the Iranians test firing a controversial missile. The mystery object zooms unseen through Iran's airspace — before splitting a cloud in two as the film focuses in on the soaring rocket.

A UFO expert today described the unknown craft, which appears to be tracking the weapon, as "phenomenal".

Iran launched two short-range missiles last Saturday, angering the West and Israel.

A US report on Fox News revealed the UFO in footage of the second launch. The video shows the Shahab-3 rocket soaring into the sky. But after 38 seconds a nearby cloud is mysteriously torn in two by a flying object traveling at unaccountable speeds.

Nick Pope, a respected former UFO analyst for the Ministry of Defense, examined the remarkable footage. He hinted that whatever ripped through the cloud was not man-made.

Pope said: "One theory is that it's a secret American drone. At any time there are prototype aircraft and drones being operated that won't be shown in public for years. Stealth aircraft flew for many years before their existence was acknowledged. But the speed and acceleration seems phenomenal. I'm not convinced we've got anything capable of such maneuvers."

The terror of a Galician fisherman with a 'foreign object'

The power issues with the supernatural have on people is extraordinary. The latest example is a video that has come to the drafting of Terra Noticias, together with an anonymous note in which the sender says the fear he felt when he spotted a UFO from his boat.

While questioning the credibility of the images, since the absence of data we could not collect more information, the video is worthy of being published by the impact and creating curiosity aroused by the possible existence of UFOs in Spain.

The most impressive image of the video, which is engraved the most stylish 'Rec' or 'Blair Witch' is not only, obviously, the supposed UFO that crashes into the sea, but also the emergence of 'fighters' and wonder of surprising fishermen for persecution.

The Galician fisherman has decided to make public what, they said, lived and experienced while on his boat. While some apparent military aircraft chasing a 'foreign object' that hits the sea and made a spectacular dive, provenance unknown helicopter flies over the boat and ordered the fishermen to hurry to get away from the place where they are. 'Leave the area immediately, please contact the port. They receive instructions ... 'are the words to the fishing.

The note accompanying the recording, shows the fear of the sender in such a situation: "Sending this video after much thought, but after the scare, I think it my duty to report this has happened and I do not see any explanation ' .

Real Sea-Faerie Mummy Sold on eBay

Discovered near one of Florida’s shorelines, this sea-faerie mummy is as real as these things get in the real world and it could have been yours.

This extremely rare creature has just been auctioned off on eBay and sold for US$305. Had more people known about it, I’m sure the price would have went even higher. I mean, how many times do you get the opportunity to buy a sea faerie. Although it didn’t actually live in the sea, its parts did.

eBay member aquatica_art created the faerie by draping once organic fish skin around a short human skeleton. The wings are made from fish fins, and the lips, teeth and jaw-bone also come from fish. The long antennae were borrowed from the tail of a stingray. So you see, this IS a real sea-faerie!

And the best part about this unusual mummy is it has no fish odor at all.

State Legislators In Now-Infamous Solitaire Photo Identified

House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., R-Norwalk, far right, speaks while colleagues play solitaire on their computers as the House convenes to vote on a new budget for the fiscal year in the Capitol on Monday [AP Photo/Jessica Hill]

A photo of two Democratic legislators playing solitaire has ignited controversy at the state Capitol and in the blogosphere.

The Associated Press picture has appeared in any number of venues, and it shows two lawmakers sitting in the back row of the historic Hall of the House in Hartford during the lengthy debate over the two-year, $37 billion state budget.

On the left is Rep. Barbara Lambert, a freshman Democrat from Milford who won her first legislative election in November 2008. She replaced longtime Milford Democrat James Amann, who ended his legislative career as the House Speaker and is now running for governor against Republican M. Jodi Rell.

Lambert is playing spider solitaire in the photo, while Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, a Bridgeport Democrat who has served in Hartford since 2005, is playing regular solitaire. They both voted in favor of the Democratic-written budget, while Cafero voted against it. A Boston College graduate, Hennessy is a delivery specialist for FedEx.

During the long debates at the state Capitol, legislators often work on their laptop computers - as seen in the photograph. Sometimes they are answering e-mails from constituents, while other times they are researching important information on pending bills. Other times, they are playing solitaire.

When asked Tuesday about the photo by Capitol Watch, Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell laughed and said, "I think if they'd spend less time playing computer games and more time looking for spending cuts, then we would have been out of here a lot sooner.''

Republican Tom Foley, who is running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Democrat Christopher J. Dodd, said, "I was disheartened to see a Hartford Courant front page photo showing members of our Democratically-controlled legislature playing solitaire on their computers while debate was occurring on a new state budget that raises taxes and contains no net reduction in spending. This is not a time for the Democrats who control our legislature to be playing games with Connecticut's future. Our elected officials need to put away their computer toys and help working people by lowering taxes and keeping government spending down."

The photo by Jessica Hill is gaining national attention through an item posted to the front of the Drudge Report and a blog post by conservative blogger Michelle Malkin.

Taxi of tomorrow: The space-age pods with no driver, no fumes... just a 'start' button

A driverless taxi has been unveiled which could make traffic jams, petrol fumes and crowded buses a thing of the past.

The futuristic pod has no driver, and no opinionated chatter to accompany your journey, but instead a button set in the wall with the word 'start' written beside it.

The four-seater cab was unveiled at the Science Museum in London yesterday and will be in use from next year taking passengers between car parks and Terminal 5.

The man behind the mission, Professor Martin Lowson, who has a background in space travel and worked on the Saturn V Rocket, said: 'They could have the same effect on transport this century as the rocket had on the 19th.'

He added: 'We believe that our PRT system can transform cities in the 21st century to provide the optimum form of environmentally friendly urban transport, relieving congestion and reducing emissions.'

The bubble-shaped taxis are battery-powered and passengers select their destination from a touch screen.

They can reach speeds of up to 25mph and would travel along their own narrow road system.

Once the destination has been chosen, the control system logs the request and sends a message to the vehicle, which then follows an electronic pathway.

During the journey, a passenger can press a button to speak to the controller if necessary.

Prof Lowson has been working on the taxis with Bristol-based Advanced Transport Systems since 1995.

Mom Eats Own Child's Brain!

A San Antonio woman is being held on $1 million bail in the killing of her 3½-week-old son yesterday. Police say he was dismembered, his face torn away and his brains ripped out. She had apparently eaten the brains, three toes and other body parts before stabbing herself.

AP writes that officers found the mother, Otty Sanchez, 33, sitting on the couch with a self-inflicted wound to her chest and her throat partially slashed, screaming, "I killed my baby! I killed my baby!" Her sister and her sister's two young children were home at the time, as was the women's mother, who lives out back.

Sanchez told officers the devil made her do it. The boy's father had moved out a week ago.

She was charged with capital murder and was being treated today at a hospital. An aunt said she had mental problems and had been "in and out of a psychiatric ward" in the past.

Police Chief William McManus told reporters today that "you could have heard a pin drop" when officers arrived at the one-story home. "It's too heinous for me to describe it any further."

Train Crash near Rudine in Croatia

Amazing footage of train crash near Rudine in Croatia when the service vehicle arriving to help in train crash that happened few moments earlier also crashed into misfortune train. 6 of about 156 passengers have died.
Passengers were notified that breaks dont work on the downhill just before the crash.

Update: It Becomes more obvious that the main reason for both accidents is a liquid sprinkled on railroad tracks, which is commonly used against the weed so it would not catch fire when braking. Railroad workers claim that it should take 4 hours for liquid to dry but eyewitnesses claim that the railroad was greasy even the day after. The theory is confirmed by the train operator that was sent to pick up passengers after the accident, and it began to slide backwards in the proximity of accident site.
Liquid was most likely sprayed by the same vehicle crashing in this video, as you can see that tank it was carrying was damaged in the crash.

Heart-Wrenching Propaganda Video of Captured U.S. Soldier released by Taliban.

WASHINGTON — The American soldier who disappeared June 30 from his base in eastern Afghanistan and was later confirmed to have been captured, appeared on a video posted Saturday to a Web site by the Taliban, two U.S. defense officials said.

The soldier is shown in the 28-minute video with his head shaved and the start of a beard. He is sitting and dressed in a nondescript, gray outfit. Early in the video one of his captors holds the soldier's dog tag up to the camera. His name and ID number are clearly visible. He is shown eating at one point and sitting on a bed.

The soldier, whose identity has not yet been released by the Pentagon pending notification of members of Congress and the soldier's family, says his name, age and hometown on the video, which was released Saturday on a Web site pointed out by the Taliban. Two U.S. defense officials confirmed to The Associated Press that the man in the video is the captured soldier.

The soldier said the date is July 14. He says he was captured when he lagged behind on a patrol.

He is interviewed in English by his captors, and he is asked his views on the war, which he calls extremely hard, his desire to learn more about Islam and the morale of American soldiers, which he said was low.

Asked how he was doing, the soldier said on the video:

"Well I'm scared, scared I won't be able to go home. It is very unnerving to be a prisoner."

He begins to answer questions in a matter-of-fact and sober voice, occasionally facing the camera, looking down and sometimes looking to the questioner on his left.

He later chokes up when discussing his family and his hope to marry his girlfriend.

"I have my girlfriend, who is hoping to marry," he said. "I have a very, very good family that I love back home in America. And I miss them every day when I'm gone. I miss them and I'm afraid that I might not ever see them again and that I'll never be able to tell them that I love them again and I'll never be able to hug them."

He is also prompted his interrogators to give a message to the American people.

"To my fellow Americans who have loved ones over here, who know what it's like to miss them, you have the power to make our government bring them home," he said. "Please, please bring us home so that we can be back where we belong and not over here, wasting our time and our lives and our precious life that we could be using back in our own country. Please bring us home. It is America and American people who have that power."

The video is not a continuous recording -- it appears to stop and start during the questioning.

It is unclear from the video whether the July 14 date is authentic. The soldier says that he heard that a Chinook helicopter carrying 37 NATO troops had been shot down over Helmand. A helicopter was shot down in southern Afghanistan on July 14, but it was carrying civilians on a reported humanitarian mission for NATO forces. All six Ukrainian passengers died in the crash, and a child on the ground was killed.

On July 2, the U.S. military said an American soldier had disappeared after walking off his base in eastern Afghanistan with three Afghan counterparts and was believed to have been taken prisoner. A U.S. defense official said the soldier was noticed missing during a routine check of the unit on June 30 and was first listed as "duty status whereabouts unknown."

Details of such incidents are routinely held very tightly by the military as it works to retrieve a missing or captured soldier without giving away any information to captors.

But Afghan Police Gen. Nabi Mullakheil said the soldier went missing in eastern Paktika province near the border with Pakistan from an American base. The region is known to be Taliban-infested.

The most important insurgent group operating in that area is known as Haqqani network and is led by warlord Siraj Haqqani, whom the U.S. has accused of masterminding beheadings and suicide bombings including the July 2008 attack on the Indian Embassy in Kabul that killed some 60 people. The Haqqani group also was linked to an assassination attempt on Afghan president Hamid Karzai early last year.

On Saturday, a U.S. military official in Kabul, Col. Greg Julian, said the U.S. was "still doing everything we can to return him safely."

Julian said U.S. troops had distributed two flyers in the area where the soldier disappeared. One of them asked for information on the missing soldier and offered a $25,000 reward for his return. The other said "please return our soldier safely" or "we will hunt you," according to Julian.

Child Born with Second Penis in the Middle of His Back

Fetus in Fetu (FIF) is a rare and very mysterious medical condition that is said to have occurred (or at least is recorded to have occurred) less than ninety times throughout medical history.

For the little boy born in Tianjin’s Children Hospital in China, the second penis in the middle of his tiny back is a medical first and even weirder than some other instances of this highly unusual phenomenon.

The baby presented no problems when it came into the world with the help of midwives on May 27, 2008, at the Hejian Maternity Center, which is part of Tianjin Children’s Hospital.

What seemed like a routine birth, however, soon turned into a story from Ripley’s Believe it or Not, as midwives and medical staff could not have been more surprised to see a little boy endowed with a second penis in the middle of his back.

Born to farmer dad, Li Jun, 30, and his wife, who live in Central China’s Henan Province, the extra penis was safely removed.

There are complicated theories about this condition that relate to the abnormal formation of twins in utero (parasitic twin theory), but this manifestation is just too weird for any of the medical books.

For now, doctors are content to say that after three hours of surgery, the extra penis is gone and the little boy is doing fine.

Chihuahuas save 3-year-old girl from mountain lion

A game warden shoots and kills a mountain lion, after it came dangerously close to a Southern California family.

But it's what happened before officers got to the home that has people talking.

Most mornings, 3-year-old Mackenzie Spray carries her favorite Chihuahua around like a baby or in her handbag. But on Saturday, all three of the family's dogs, Lena, Abby and Gita "hounded" the family to be let outside.

Luckily, little Mackenzie stayed a few steps behind. The Chihuahuas, as it turns out, were trying to tell the family a predator was lurking inside the garage.

"The mountain lion was standing like five feet in front of the window," said Mackenzie's mother, Analee Spray.

Spray pulled her daughter to safety and grabbed her video camera. She recorded several minutes of the angry big cat.

All three Chihuahuas continued their relentless yipping without backing down to the 100-pound mountain lion.

"It's really upset, it was scared," remembered Spray.

At one point the hissing lion came eye-to-eye with Spray as she continued to record the Chihuahua versus cat standoff.

Spray managed to call 911, still in shock the three little dogs, which weigh only three pounds each, would defend the family with so much vigor.

"It's just insane. Then, they began barking at the cops," Spray said.

In the end, it was Gita, the longer-haired Chihuahua that went toe-to-toe with the mountain lion, refusing to the let the cornered cat anywhere near little Mackenzie.

Police said they were stunned to find the mountain lion being held at bay by three tiny dogs.

Ghostly image of Michael Jackson appears on car bonnet

A builder was stunned when he discovered a ghostly image of Michael Jackson on his car bonnet.
It appeared to show that the 'King of Pop' had made a swift ascent to the heavens after his death.
Father of two Gary Sloggett, 43, had taken some photographs of his Rover 200 with the intention of submitting them to a car sales magazine.

But when he uploaded the snaps onto his computer he was shocked to see Michael Jackson who had died just 13 hours earlier - staring back at him.
'It's quite extraordinary,' said Gary, of Stafford. 'The obvious explanation is that it seems to be some sort of cloud formation that just happened at the time.'

'But I've shown the picture to quite a few people and without prompting they all say: 'That's Jacko.'
'To be honest I'm a bit of a sceptic and I'm not the world's greatest Michael Jackson fan, but as soon as I saw the picture on my computer it set me thinking.

'I'm not saying I've been touched by any sort of presence, but it is pretty unusual. I was a bit bemused to say the least. '

Gary, who is married to Moira, 41, and has two children, Amy, 13, and Thomas, 11, went on: 'I didn't upload the pictures for a few days but I took them at around 10am on the day after Michael Jackson died.

'When I saw the picture I immediately turned to my wife and said: 'What is Michael Jackson doing on my car bonnet?'
'If you look at the picture for long enough it even looks as if he has got wings.'

Mr Sloggett eventually sold his Rover 200 for £650.

the art of making snake wine

How to make medicinal snake wine in China.
1. hold the snake head with clamps then hold the clamp steady with your foot.
2. take the tail and pull it up.

Cat in China grows a pair of wings

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a … cat?

A kitty in Chongqing, China, is getting some extra-special attention these days: The furry feline has developed wings! Though born looking completely normal, once the cat hit the age of 1, he began growing wing-shaped appendages on either side of his spine, the U.K.'s Daily Mail reports.

While some think the bony limbs may be a mutation of some kind — or even a Siamese twin growing inside the cat — others speculate it's a genetic change perhaps caused by chemicals ingested by the kitty's mother while she was pregnant.

According to the cat's owners, he doesn't seem to mind his new wings — and he’s loving the attention he's received because of them!

Strange as the case may sound, winged felines are not unheard of. Back in August 2008, the U.K. Telegraph reported that tomcats in China's Sichuan province developed wing-like growths on their backs.

Veterinary experts said then that despite the hard inner core, the "wings" don't harm cats' quality of life or safety. According to the Telegraph's report, scientists believe the appendages developed due to grooming habits, a genetic defect or a hereditary skin condition.

This is the sight that greeted one unlucky motorist when he returned to his vehicle in Rotterdam.
Under a giant silk cocoon created by an army of caterpillars, the shape of a Honda is just about visible.
The car was mistaken as food by spindle ermine larvae, which had already begun to strip a nearby tree of its leaves.

Spindle ermines weave silk webs to protect themselves from birds and wasps, allowing them to gorge on leaves for six weeks before transforming into butterflies.
Eight species live in Britain and their webs can be seen throughout the country.
Their favoured tree is the spindle - which is often used in car parks and for lining motorways.
Stuart Hine of the Natural History Museum said: 'It only takes a few days. But we aren't talking about anything from Indiana Jones here.
‘They can bear a bit of weight but the car owner will be able to back the car out and clean it
