Video of 'Dead Alien' after Siberia crash-landing

A video of what was claimed to be a mutilated alien corpse is said to be fake. The tiny "dead alien" is just skin from chicken filled with bread, reports the website 7d.org.ua. Police questioned the men who claimed to have found the "body" and they allegedly confessed to creating it themselves. The chief editor of the local Kabansk-Info newspaper initially thought that it was the body of an infant in the video and alerted the police. Officers immediately started the investigation and identified the alleged author. They went to his house and asked him about the infant's body. The scared man reportedly showed a fake alien corpse. It was even painted in "alien colors". Scolding is the only possible punishment for such a stunt as it cannot be considered a crime, the report says. The footage was taken near the village of Kamensk in the Russian republic Buryatia, just north of Lake Baikal. It showed what appeared to be a humanoid body less than a meter high with a skeletal big-eyed head and thin naked body. One of its legs was missing. Emotional off-screen comments said the body was found a couple of hours before and was clearly very dead. Local media reported there were numerous reports of UFO sightings in the area in March, some of them later attributed to bombing training at a nearby military range..

Aral Sea Going Dead

Salt Lake-Sea was once the fourth largest lake in the world. As a result, water from the main feeder rivers (the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers) for irrigation, the lake loses a desired amount of water and start shallow. Now it is impossible to save him.

Death of Aral Sea, winds rise and spread the bottom salt on hundreds of kilometers around.

Aral a once-large saltwater lake straddling the boundary between Kazakstan to the north and Uzbekistan to the south. The shallow Aral Sea was formerly the world's fourth largest body of inland water. It nestles in the climatically inhospitable heart of Central Asia, to the east of the Caspian Sea. The Aral Sea is of great interest and increasing concern to scientists because of the remarkable shrinkage of its area and volume in the second half of the 20th century. This change is due primarily to the diversion (for purposes of irrigation) of the riverine waters of the Syr Darya and Amu Darya, which discharge into the Aral Sea and are its main sources of inflowing water.

At the Aral Sea in Central Asia, irrigation and water diversion has led to a dramatic shrinking of the lake beginning in the 1960s and continuing today. Historical imagery, which can be viewed as part of Google Earth's imagery, show how the sea is now a quarter of the size it was 50 years ago. Psychic claims to chat to dead pets

A Romanian psychic claims to able to put grieving pet owners in touch with their dead animals.

Nina Petre, from Brasov, says that, for a fee, she can help people communicate with departed dogs, cats, birds and other pets.

She communicates with her clients through a website where she posts both the owners' messages and the pets' replies.

One recently deceased dog, named Mexico, is quoted as saying to her owner: "I want to let you know that I am very happy here. I just came from the dogs judgement where I was told my good behaviour in life means I have a good chance to be sent back.

"But I couldn't have done this without your support, wisdom and love for which I will always be grateful to you.

"I also have one wish. Please give all my stuff - collar, leash, little coat - to a new dog which I know you will love as much as you did me."

Another dog, Dicky, apparently used the psychic to let his owner know that he died after a "mean neighbour gave me poisoned food".

The psychic charges a small fee to tell people if their pets are in heaven or hell - but as much as £80 for an online discussion.

SA TV make 'Bush is dead' blunder

A South African TV station mistakenly broadcast that former US President George Bush had died during one of its news bulletins.

For three seconds ETV News ran a moving banner headline across the screen saying "George Bush is dead".

The "misbroadcast" happened when a technician pressed the "broadcast live for transmission" button instead of the one for a test-run.

The station said test banners would now be done in "gobbledegook".

The mistake happened when a senior staff member wanted to see how a rolling banner headline looked.
